Leeds United are interest in Celtic winger Sebastian Tonkti and are closely monitoring his performances for the Hoops.
[That’s according to Maghreb Foot](https://maghreb-foot.com/%D9%84%D9%8A%D8%AF%D8%B2-%D9%8A%D9%88%D9%86%D8%A7%D9%8A%D8%AA%D8%AF-%D9%85%D9%87%D8%AA%D9%85-%D8%A8%D8%B6%D9%85-%D8%B3%D8%A8%D9%8A%D8%B3%D8%AA%D9%8A%D8%A7%D9%86-%D8%AA%D9%88%D9%86%D9%83%D8%AA%D9%8A/), who report that Leeds are eyeing a move for the Celtic man in the January transfer window.
They say that Leeds have taken notice of the Tunisian youngster. He’s been impressive with Celtic since joining them from Swedish side Hammarby in the summer. He has two goals in 10 games in all competitions so far this season.
While those numbers may not be eye-catching. Maghreb Foot say Leeds have taken notice of his ‘outstanding performances’. The outlet describes Tonkti as having ‘impressive speed’, dribbling skills and the ability to create chances. These have apparently won over Celtic’s coaching staff and fans already.
The belief is that the 23-year-old is showing ‘clear maturity’ in his performances. In fact, the outlet goes as far as to describe him as one of the most promising young talents in Scottish Football.
The feeling is that if he continues to shine, Leeds’ interest will only grow. He’s certainly a name being watched at Elland Road if Maghreb Foot are to be believed.
They go a little far with the praise of a player who only has two goals this season, so we’d take this report with a pinch of salt for the time being. But Tonkti could be a name to keep an eye on for Leeds fans moving forwards.
