West Ham player seen as big January opportunity – Loan with obligation around €40m

Jean-Clair Todibo hasn’t to become a regular at West Ham, failing to fulfil the hopes around his transfer.

The Frenchman joined the London club from Nice in 2024, initially on loan. This summer, the move was made permanent.

He’s struggled with injuries and inconsistency, playing only four times in the Premier League this season. In three games, he hasn’t even been on the bench.

The Hammers invested around €40m on the defender but there is now the possibility of a swift exit. MilanLive report the West Ham player’s situation is attracting attention from AC Milan.

There is belief that if Todibo’s performances don’t improve, he can depart in January.

There’s a belief West Ham could be interested in an initial loan with a conditional obligation to buy. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side could sell the player if a deal worth €40m is put forward.

The outlet indicates Milan tried to sign the 25-year-old when he was leaving Barcelona. Juventus also attempted to bring him to Italy before the centre-back joined West Ham in 2024.
