Alvin Kamara, Rashid Shaheed playing today status unsure for Saints’ last game before trade deadline

The New Orleans Saints are one team expected to be clear sellers at the NFL's trade deadline, which is Tuesday.

First, they've got to get through Sunday's game, and they've got question marks with injuries for a couple of the guys that also might be trade candidates.

Alvin Kamara and Rashid Shaheed both enter Week 9 as questionable to take on the Los Angeles Rams.

The Saints are just 1-7, while the Rams are 5-2. It already looks like a mismatch, and if the two stars were to miss out, it could be even worse.

Is Alvin Kamara playing today?

Alvin Kamara is "expected to play" on Sunday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

He's dealing with an ankle injury.

If Kamara is limited or out, it would mean more work for Kendre Miller.

Is Rashid Shaheed playing today?

Rashid Shaheed is also "expected to play" on Sunday, according to Rapoport.

He's been managing a hip issue.

The Saints' passing game likely goes through Chris Olave and Juwan Johnson in addition to Shaheed, whether he plays or not. But adding his deep speed is a nice element to have.
