Seventy five minutes to go before the start of [West Ham’s](https://www.claretandhugh.info/west-ham-v-newcastle-united-preview-team-news-predicted-line-ups/) encounter with visitors Newcastle United and Nuno esspirito Santo’s latest team selection has been announced. After the last two weird and wacky starting elevens – which have been hastily abandoned at half time with multiple substitutes – fans can only hope that Nuno has made some considered judgement calls after a week working with the whole squad.
Niclas Fullkrug, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Ollie Scarles are all sidelined through injury, apart from that the Hammers’ squad is complete and available for selection.
Nuno tries another combination in search of an elusive win – the penny drops!!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This week in order to try and arrest the dreadful Hammers home form which has seen ‘_nul points_‘ at London Stadium since February’s Ipswich win, Espírito Santo has rolled the dice again and come up with a starting eleven consisting every fan’s preferred line up. At least if the Hammers get beaten nobody will be griping about the eleven on the pitch.
**There’ll be just about universal agreement that this is the best eleven available (**with the Potts / Magassa argument for another day). **Finally:**
West Ham United
Areola | Wan Bissaka, Kilman, Todibo Diouf | Fernandes, Potts, Paqueta | Summerville, Wilson, Bowen

We’ll have Gonzo’s player ratings and a match summary straight after the final whistle so head back here and see how your own opinions compare with ours. **We’ll also open up the forum for ‘live’ Claret and Hugh’s reader responses so you can tell the world what you think.**
