Manchester United have now joined several bigwigs in the race to sign 25-year-old Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi.
As per a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Marc Guehi is on the radar of Liverpool, Barcelona, and Real Madrid as well. However, the European bigwigs will face stiff competition from Manchester United for his signature.
It is no surprise that several clubs are interested in securing his signature. The Englishman will be a free agent in the summer of 2026, and signing a player of his quality for free would be a masterstroke for any club. However, the English defender is in no rush to decide his future.
Guehi is calm about the situation and he is focused on performing at a high level for Crystal Palace right now. The Crystal Palace captain was heavily linked with a move away from Crystal Palace during the summer transfer window as well, and he was very close to joining Liverpool. The player underwent his medical with the Premier League champions as well, but the move collapsed after Crystal Palace failed to find a replacement.
The former Chelsea prospect has been exemplary throughout the transfer saga, and his professionalism and attitude has attracted top teams towards him. There is no doubt that Guehi is a quality player as well. In addition to that, the Englishman is the captain of Crystal Palace, and his leadership skills could be vital for any club signing him.

Liverpool are in desperate need of a quality central defender especially with Ibrahima Konate entering the final 12 months of his contract. They will hope to get a deal for Guehi across the line this time around.
Meanwhile, both Real Madrid and Barcelona need defensive depth in the side as well. It will be interesting to see if they decide to try and agree on a pre-contract deal with the player in January. Whoever ends up signing the 25-year-old will have a quality player on their hands. The England international is at the peak of his powers and this is the right time for him to join a big club.
