Confirmed: Arokodare loses coach at Wolverhampton Wanderers after historic loss against Fulham

Wolverhampton Wanderers have parted ways with manager Vitor Pereira following a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Fulham on Saturday afternoon.

Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare, who joined the Premier League side in the summer, came off the bench in the 64th minute to replace Jean-Ricner Bellegarde.

Although the 24-year-old had found the net in midweek against Chelsea, he was unable to replicate that form at Craven Cottage as Wolves suffered yet another setback, a result that ultimately cost Pereira his job.

The defeat marked Wolves’ eighth loss of the season, leaving them rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table with just two points from ten matches.

It also made the club the first team in Premier League history to go winless in their opening ten games in two consecutive seasons.

In an [official statement](https://www.wolves.co.uk/news/mens-first-team/20251102-wolves-part-company-with-vitor-pereira/) on their website, Wolverhampton Wanderers confirmed that Vitor Pereira’s eight backroom staff have also been relieved of their duties with immediate effect.

For now, first-team training will be overseen by Under-21 coach James Collins and Under-18 coach Richard Walker until the club finalises the appointment of a new head coach.

Since his summer move from Belgium, Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare has endured a difficult start to life in the Premier League.

Despite his prolific record in Belgium, he has struggled to find consistency in England, netting just two goals in nine appearances across all competitions.

His dip in form has seen him fall behind Danish striker Jørgen Strand Larsen in the pecking order.

However, with Wolves set to appoint a new manager, Arokodare will be eager to seize the opportunity to impress and help lift the team out of the relegation zone.
