Man United were forced to settle for a point on the road against Nottingham Forest
While the Red Devils remain unbeaten in their last four games, they will be frustrated about dropping points to Forest, who are still currently in the relegation zone.
The East Midlands outfit have struggled for form this season and have just one win on the board so far. They have also sacked two managers, with Sean Dyche the latest to take the reins at the club.
Two quickfire goals in the second half for Forest cancelled out Casemiro’s opener but Amad Diallo was able to salvage a point with an 81st minute equaliser.
Gary Neville analysed his side’s performance after the match and admitted he is still not sold on summer signing Benjamin Sesko.
Gary Neville still not sold on Man United signing Benjamin Sesko
Sesko arrived at Old Trafford along with the likes of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, as United focused on bolstering their attack. Ruben Amorim’s side scored just 44 goals last season, the second-lowest of the non-relegated clubs in the Premier League.
“I’m no further forward with him. The jury is out,” Neville told NBC Sports after the match in Nottingham (via TEAMtalk). “He’s well off it compared to the other summer signings that Man United made up front in Cunha and Mbeumo.
“He looks awkward, he had a couple of really good opportunities in the first half when balls got played over the top and his touch wasn’t quite right.
“For £80 million, you can say he’s young, has a lot of potential and is only just settling in, but you still want to see a bit more.”
Benjamin Sesko stats with Man United
Sesko arrived in Manchester from RB Leipzig over the summer as part of a significant United attacking restructure. He joined with high expectations, having scored 21 goals for his former club last season. Before that, he tallied a strong 18 goals, showing his form was improving.
However, Sesko has struggled to make a significant splash with his new side. It took him until the end of September to score his first goal and since then, he has only found the back of the net on one other occasion.
The 22-year-old has started six Premier League games so far and been substituted in on four occasions. Sesko started in front of Cunha and Mbeumo against Nottingham Forest but failed to get in on the goalscoring action.
According to FotMob statistics from the match, Sesko was the second-worst starting United player with a 6.2 rating, behind only Senne Lemmens with dreary 5.9.
The Slovenian had the least amount of touches (21) of any outfield player, with only two of those coming in the opposition box. He also failed to register a shot on target or create a goalscoring opportunity as he played out a quiet full 90 minutes.
