Aston Villa may have to prepare to face a revitalised Wolves at the end of the month with a new manager likely to be in the away dugout at Villa Park.

Wolves parted company with manager Vitor Pereira on Sunday following a winless start to the Premier League campaign.

Perhaps unfortunately for Villa, they did not get a chance to face a side that has claimed just two points from 10 matches, and so may be in for a tougher test when Wolves visit on November 30.

Villa host Bournemouth in the Premier League next weekend, and then their first match back after the November international break is away to Leeds.

But then it’s a Midlands match-up at Villa Park when Wolves, likely under fresh guidance, visit. Villa will hope they’re not in the midst of a new manager bounce.

Although, it might not be a totally new manager in the dugout with suggestions that Gary O’Neil could return to the club.

Also among the bookmakers’ early favourites are Brendan Rodgers, who’s now out of work after leaving Celtic this week, and former Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag, who was dismissed after just a few games in charge of Bayer Leverkusen earlier this season.
