Nottingham Forest have a couple of injury concerns to contend with as they prepare for a big week for the club.

The Reds claimed their first Premier League point under new head coach Sean Dyche on Saturday as they drew 2-2 with Manchester United. They now turn their attention to Thursday’s Europa League clash away to Sturm Graz before a visit from newly-promoted Leeds United next weekend.

Dyche has plenty of positives to build on following the display against United. However, he lost midfielder Douglas Luiz to injury in the first half and winger Callum Hudson-Odoi was withdrawn with a knock late on.

Luiz was forced off in the 14th minute at the City Ground. He appeared to indicate he was struggling with his hamstring and received treatment on the pitch before being replaced by Ryan Yates.

Asked about the Juventus loanee after the game, Dyche said: "I don't know yet. We are in (today, Sunday) so I will get more of an assessment after then.”

On whether it was a hamstring problem for Luiz, Dyche added: "I have only spoken to the team, not the injured players or the medics so I don't want to put words in their mouth.”

Luiz has only recently returned from a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury. He missed three games earlier in the season after sustaining a problem during the 2-2 draw away to Real Betis in September.

On that occasion, he was withdrawn at half-time of the Europa League clash in Seville. He made his return in last month’s 3-0 defeat to Chelsea that proved to be Ange Postecoglou’s final match in charge.

Dyche named an unchanged XI against United but has hinted there will be some squad rotation this week. His team are still without a win in the league since the opening day of the season and will hope to put that right against Leeds before the campaign pauses for the international break.

Dyche told the BBC: “We’ve lost another couple. We’ll wait to find out the depth of the injuries. Callum has got a knock and we have to be careful because if that is a strain rather than a dead leg, it’s trouble.

“We’re waiting on Dougie. We have already got people out who have proved over the last few years to be good players at this football club.

“We will have to look at changes and rotating. I try to win every game, everyone will know that. I’m not one for rotating all the time, but on this occasion I think we have got to be careful with where we’re going to make sure our players are fit and ready to deliver.”

Dyche previously said he was hopeful striker Chris Wood would have recovered from a knee issue to face Leeds. The Reds are also currently without Oleksandr Zinchenko, Dilane Bakwa, Angus Gunn and long-term absentee Ola Aina.
