Leeds United’s Premier League survival chances are under scrutiny again following a poor performance and result at Brighton on Saturday.
The Seagulls hammered Leeds 3-0 at the Amex Stadium, and provided a painful reminder of the task ahead of the Whites if they are to secure their Premier League status beyond the ongoing season.

Leeds were outclassed on the south coast and raised fresh issues around the team and what they lack in the squad. The performance was pitiful, and Daniel Farke didn’t even have the cover of xG this time.
The Whites have a big relegation six-pointer against Nottingham Forest coming up at the City Ground next weekend, but another major announcement in the Premier League could end up having major ramifications at the bottom of the table.
Leeds United’s Premier League survival chances are impacted by a major decision
Wolves, who are rooted to the bottom of the Premier League, have announced the sacking of Vitor Pereira, who oversaw eight defeats and two draws in the opening ten games of the season.
He was rewarded with a new contract just weeks back despite a disastrous start to the season, but has been shown the door after no improvements.
This is set to have a direct impact on the relegation dogfight as Wolves look to recover from a poor start to the season under the stewardship of a new manager.
They are eight points adrift of safety at the moment, but the Wolves board are hopeful that a new manager bounce will help them recover some of the lost ground in the coming weeks.
Any sort of recovery from here would pile real pressure on the teams hovering just above the drop zone, including Leeds United, with the survival battle now set to intensify.
Leeds have a horror run of fixtures ahead of them
The Whites will face Forest at the City Ground next weekend, and it is shaping up to be a relegation six-pointer between two big English clubs.
However, winning all three points could be huge for Leeds as the next run of fixtures looks extremely difficult on paper. They will be playing against teams at the right end of the Premier League table.
Leeds will host Aston Villa just after the international break before taking a daunting trip to the Etihad to take on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
The Whites will host Chelsea at Elland Road on December 3, followed by another home clash against Liverpool on December 6, before a crucial away trip to Brentford.
Leeds need a win against Forest, as points could be hard to come by during a terrible run of fixtures in November and December, which could easily suck them into the relegation zone.
A rejuvenated Wolves under a new manager will only compound Farke’s problems at Leeds.
