Giannis Antetokounmpo has once again started an NBA campaign in MVP form. The Milwaukee Bucks were 4-1 going into Saturday’s game against the Sacramento Kings. However, Giannis couldn’t stop his team from losing narrowly, as the game ended 135-133.
The loss to Sacramento was unnecessary for the Bucks, and as a result, quite frustrating. However, it seems the Greek Freak took it in his stride. Speaking to reporters after the game, Antetokounmpo was sporting a black eye. And when asked about it, he gave a memorable response.

“Actually, I was in Pick ’n Save,” Giannis said. “So while I was checking out my groceries, there was this guy about to snatch a purse from a lady. I was like, ‘Hey man, what are you doing? Stop!’ So I went and grabbed him, and he kind of turned and elbowed me in the eye.
“But then I grabbed him, put him on the floor, took the purse, gave it to the lady, and then the lady was safe. I paid for her groceries too, because she was in shock. You know, the police came and took the guy. After that, I just went home, did some treatment, and took a nap.”

The Bucks shared their answer on the official social media account. The caption suggests what most already know: Giannis seemingly made up this story of being a hero. And while he may not have been a hero at the grocery store, the Bucks will need him to become one in their next game to make up for the latest loss.
