Bengals' Logan Wilson receiving interest from Cowboys among three contenders

The Cincinnati Bengals are one of many teams to keep a close eye on at the 2025 NFL trade deadline. While a Week 9 win over the Chicago Bears could have Cincinnati on the cusp of a playoff spot, a loss could put their playoff dream to rest.

But, regardless of what happens in Week 9, the Bengals have seen their linebacker, Logan Wilson, request a trade. With the Bengals' defensive struggles, there's room for improvement, and moving on from Wilson is on the table even if Cincinnati is a contender.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, there are three teams expressing interest in trading for Wilson by the upcoming NFL trade deadline. The Dallas Cowboys are among those three contenders vying for Wilson, as the Bengals' linebacker could be on the move in the coming days.

Bengals' Logan Wilson drawing trade interest from three contenders

"Teams that have expressed some interest in Wilson are the Bills, Cowboys, and Colts, sources told ESPN," Schefter reports. Wilson is also inactive for Sunday's game against the Bears because of a calf injury."

Wilson is out for the Bears matchup, but can still be traded and is drawing interest from around the NFL. The Indianapolis Colts need linebacker depth, and could reunite Wilson with Lou Anarumo.

The Cowboys, meanwhile, have dealt with some injuries at the linebacker spot, and like the Colts, could use depth. While there's not a strong connection in Dallas like there is in Indianapolis, Wilson would be a quality pickup for a defense in need of some help.

Lastly, the Buffalo Bills are a team in need of some extra linebacker depth, and Wilson would be a relatively cheap option for not just 2025 but the next few years as well.

The 29-year-old linebacker is signed through the 2027 season, and has cap hits of $8.7 million in 2025, $9.5 million in 2026, and $8.2 million in 2027.

Wilson has appeared in eight games for the Bengals this season, starting seven after his benching in Week 8 against the New York Jets. He has four passes defended, 46 tackles, and one fumble recovery on the year.

He struggles in coverage, but on a defense like the Colts, reuniting with Anarumo would be a great way for Wilson to get back on track to the past few seasons of high-level play.

Wilson is one of the most likely Bengals to be traded at the upcoming deadline, and the Cowboys, Colts, and Bills have all expressed interest in the veteran linebacker.
