Aaron Rodgers injury update: Latest news on Steelers QB's status for Week 9 game

The Pittsburgh Steelers appear to have an injury concern with quarterback Aaron Rodgers ahead of the Week 9 game against the Indianapolis Colts.

During the pregame broadcast on CBS, a video of Rodgers showed that the signal-caller appears to be dealing with some kind of hand or finger injury.

Rodgers could be seen on the video looking at his hand and shaking it out, which indicates there's some kind of problem. How serious the problem is remains to be seen.

Rodgers was still throwing prior to kickoff, so it looks as though he's going to play, but his status remains something to monitor as the game progresses.

Here's the video of Rodgers that shows he might be dealing with something.

CBS broadcaster Tony Romo speculated that perhaps Rodgers got his finger jammed while taking snaps from a backup center, although that has not been confirmed.

The Steelers can ill-afford to have Rodgers at anything less than 100% in a game against a Colts team that sports one of the league's best offenses.

With the way the Steelers' defense has played, Pittsburgh figures to need a lot of points to beat the Colts on Sunday. We'll see if Rodgers is hampered at all by his injury.
