The Miami Dolphins, after their Week 9 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, mutually agreed to part ways with longtime general manager Chris Grier. What this move meant for the Dolphins was a change in philosophy in the front office. That change has brought out the availability of nearly everyone on the roster at the trade deadline. Instead of Grier holding onto players, Miami is now willing to listen to anyone, including Jaylen Waddle.According to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, the Dolphins, while willing to listen to offers for Waddle, have set a very reasonable high asking price. The Dolphins are demanding, at minimum, a first-round pick.Dolphins set lofty "I am told Miami is now willing to listen to any player on the roster, including wide receiver Jaylen Waddle," Pelissero reports. "Now, the price for Wadle would be high. It would be a first-round pick and more."The Insiders on @NFLGameDay Morning with @TomPelissero and @MikeGarafolo: #Dolphins taking calls on Jaylen Waddle and their top pass-rushers; Could the #Jets trade Breece Hall or Quinnen Williams? But those offers have to begin with a first-round pick.Waddle is a 26-year-old wide receiver in the prime of his NFL career. He's signed through the 2028 season on an $84.75 million extension. Not only would a team be able to bring in a talented receiver like Waddle, but they would have him for the next 3.5 seasons. So far this season, Waddle has 41 receptions for 586 yards and four touchdowns on 59 targets from a struggling Tua Tagovailoa. Waddle has been a great receiver in Miami, and won't come cheap for an acquiring team.More: What Dolphins parting with GM Chris Grier could mean for Miami's NFL deadline plansHe's had 4,715 receiving yards and 24 touchdown receptions in his five-year career, and has missed very little time in his career. Waddle would be a huge pickup for any team, though the price tag isn't cheap.Negotiations start at a first-round pick for Waddle, with the Dolphins receiver expected to cost not just a first-round pick, but more on top of that. There will be plenty of teams eager to try and acquire Waddle, even at the cost of a first-round pick and more. The Denver Broncos are a team to monitor, with their quarterback on a rookie contract and their need for wide receiver help. It's going to be an interesting few days of trade rumors, as the Dolphins could be parting ways with Waddle for a haul if a team is willing to offer at least a first-round pick for the fifth-year receiver.More Dolphins News:
