The visitors made a blistering start and thought they had the lead inside a minute, with Eli Kroupi tapping in, only to see the assistant’s flag up for offside.
We grew into the game and broke the deadlock after 17 minutes, with Rayan Cherki superbly heading into the path of Haaland to race through on goal and finish confidently.
Eight minutes later, the Cherries levelled, with Tyler Adams bundling the ball in from a corner.
Shortly after the half-hour mark, we regained our lead, with Cherki again finding Haaland, who rounded Djordje Petrovic and rolled into the empty net, taking his overall Premier League tally to a remarkable 98 goals.
It was almost 99 before the break as Haaland raced through on goal again, but this time Petrovic stood tall to deny his dinked effort.
After the break, the visitors threatened a leveller, with Kroupi’s strike palmed away well by Gianluigi Donnarumma.
On the hour mark, we extended our lead as Nico O’Reilly smartly found the bottom corner from Phil Foden’s pass to give us some breathing space.
We remained resolute to prevent any hope of a comeback for the visitors and secured the three points, moving us up to second place in the league table.
