Make no bones about it (pun intended): the [Minnesota Timberwolves](http://canishoopus.com)’ win on Saturday night against the Charlotte Hornets was huge in getting the offense back on track and key players back into rhythm.
Specifically, recently re-signed Naz Reid, who struggled out of the gate, but found his stride offensively with an 18-point jumpstart, and a 10-point second quarter that saw a stagnant offensive team regain some of its previous mojo.
Most important for Reid is that he returns home for an Eastern timezone contest against the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center. Speculative during the offseason that Brooklyn could be a home for Naz if he was strictly looking to get paid, the tweener big man is back with the Wolves and looking to parlay his nice run into a hometown revenge game.
Brooklyn is still winless on the year, and hungry for their first win could pose issues to the Wolves if they take it lightly, as they have for many games against inferior teams over the last couple of years. Cam Thomas leads the Nets in scoring with 23 points per game, flanked by solid rim-protecting big man Nicolas Claxton.
