With Terry McLaurin sidelined for yet another game, the [Washington Commanders](https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/washington-commanders) are going to need more out of Deebo Samuel in Week 9 against the [Seattle Seahawks](https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/seattle-seahawks).
With McLaurin missing a handful of games this season, Samuel has operated as the Commanders' No. 1 wideout for much of the season. Through seven games, Samuel leads the team with 326 receiving yards.
However, Samuel is off to a quiet start in the Week 9 game versus Seattle. Here's a closer look at what's going on.
Is Deebo Samuel playing tonight?
--------------------------------
Yes, Samuel is active and in the lineup, but he hasn't been targeted through one drive. He did, however receive a carry on the opening series, but it was negated due to a penalty.
Instead of connecting with Samuel, quarterback Jayden Daniels completed two passes to tight end Zach Ertz on an unsuccessful drive that ended with a punt.
Here's to hoping Samuel gets going on the Commanders' second drive.
