Iraola pleased to add set pieces goals after Adams' first Cherries strike

TYLER Adams scored his first [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/?ref=au) goal against Manchester City – and Andoni Iraola was pleased that the team netted once again from a corner.

The American equalised for Bournemouth after Erling Haaland’s opening goal at the Etihad.

He reacted quickest as Gianluigi Donnarumma flapped at an Alex Scott corner, with the ball dropping in the six-yard box and Adams was there to finish from close range.

That was the midfielder’s first goal for Bournemouth since joining the club, and his first in English football.

It was the third consecutive week that the Cherries have scored from a corner, with goals from Junior Kroupi and Marcus Tavernier coming from the set pieces against Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest.

Asked about Adams’ goal, Iraola said: “Obviously he's not a goal scorer and it's nice that he can add one goal.

“I would have preferred obviously that the goal gives you a point.

“It's not the case, but I'm happy because I think it's the third game in a row we score a corner that it means we are adding things to our game and I hope we can continue in this matter the same way.”
