Jayden Daniels injury update is heartbreaking news for Commanders on awful night

An ugly night for the Washington Commanders got worse with seven minutes left.

Jayden Daniels took off running while trailing by 31 points.

And when he was wrapped up on a Seattle Seahawks tackle, his left arm got pinned oddly against the ground. It bent at a bad angle. Daniels stayed down.

Trainers rushed out to him, and they had to immediately treat his left arm.

It was a nasty injury, one that ended a night in which nothing went right for the Commanders.

Daniels has missed time this season already with multiple injuries, but this is a new one, and one that at least immediately looked to be the worst of any of them.

Daniels' teammates took a knee, and a cart was brought out for him.

When he walked off, the Commanders had already put a cast on his left arm. Daniels walked up the sideline with the trainers, ignoring the cart.

There will be immediate questions as to why Daniels was in the game at all.

The Commanders have had an awful season with injuries, and this made it even worse.

Washington will fall to 3-6 with the loss.

Marcus Mariota is his backup, and he might be the starter for a while now.
