Josh Allen cemented himself in the annals of NFL history after his performance against the Kansas City Chiefs, as the Buffalo Bills make trade calls ahead of the deadline.
In the Bills' 28-21 win over Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, Allen completed 23-of-26 pass attempts for 273 yards and one touchdown while also rushing for 19 yards on six carries with two touchdowns. One of his rushing touchdowns was especially notable as with under two minutes remaining in the second quarter, Allen rushed for a 1-yard touchdown.

In doing so, the star became the first quarterback in NFL history to post 47 games with a rushing and passing touchdown. The moment came after Terry Bradshaw and Michael Strahan clashed on who would win the AFC West.

After the game, the 29-year-old explained what it meant to make history. "It means I'm doing my job. That's all it means," Allen said to reporters bluntly.
With the 1-yard rushing touchdown, his 78th all-time, Allen surpassed Cam Newton for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback. The signal caller also joined Jim Brown, Marshall Faulk and LaDainian Tomlinson as the only players in league history to have at least six rushing touchdowns in their first eight seasons, according to Democrat and Chronicle.
Along with making history, Allen is now 5-1 against Mahomes in the regular season.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott lauded the job Allen and the rest of the team did, noting that what happened against the Chiefs was not due to one specific player, but rather each position group doing what they needed to do to be one cohesive unit.
"Great team win," McDermott told reporters after the win. "A lot of guys stepped up, maybe that haven't been playing as much due to the injuries, and they did a great job. Just the back and forth, the journey of a game, kind of like the journey of the season, and I think we learned a little bit about ourselves today."
The 51-year-old also did admit that Buffalo is not where it wants to be coming out of the bye week, especially since the Bills improved to 6-2 after losing two of the last three games previously. He also took a moment to praise the star quarterback for the night he had against Kansas City.

"We're not where we need to be, but I saw the team come together when it got tough," McDermott continued. "I mean, the momentum change, a couple different parts of the game, which was going to happen, and they stood right, they stood tall. So staff, great job by them, both offense, defense, and special teams putting together a good plan.

"Josh Allen was phenomenal. That doesn't happen alone. The O-line, receivers, they all did a great job."
With Allen setting his own history, the star quarterback still had found it appropriate to praise Mahomes and the Chiefs for what the organization has done in recent years. "They're the pinnacle of what you want your franchise to be. They've been that for the last eight years," Allen continued.
"Anytime you get a chance to play the best, and you can come away with a victory, you're going to be feeling pretty good. There's a lot to be happy about, but like I alluded to earlier this week, it's never as good, never as bad as you think, so got some stuff to clean up. We'll wash this one tomorrow and get rid of it."
