The Premier League Panel Which teams will get better or worse next season
The latest Premier League news and rumours with Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Sunderland, Aston Villa and West Ham
Branthwaite, 23, has had some injury issues so far this season and hasn’t played as much football as he would have liked to. The England international, who has one cap to his name so far, joined the Toffees back in 2020 from Carlisle United. He has since made 86 appearances in all competitions and has scored four goals.
The 3AM Verdict: Manchester United are no strangers to being linked withJarrad Branthwaite at Everton. He would be an ideal addition for the Red Devils if they were able to lure him to Old Trafford in January. At the age of 23, he has bags of potential and would strengthen their backline. However, they would need to see off potential competition from Tottenham Hotspur if they are to keep him in the North West.
Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson wanted
Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson is wanted on loan by Championship pair Leicester City and Southampton, journalist Alan Nixon has reported on his Patreon page. The Black Cats have a big decision to make regarding the player’s immediate future at the Stadium of Light this winter. He has fallen down the pecking order in the North East since their promotion under Regis Le Bris.
Patterson was their first choice in the last campaign as they went on to win the second tier play-off final at Wembley against Sheffield United. However, he has since lost his place between the sticks to Robin Roefs. His situation is now up in the air amid fresh attention from the league below.
The 3AM Verdict: Anthony Patterson is unlikely to get back into Sunderland’s team now ahead of Robin Roefs unless there was an injury. Therefore, a loan exit in January to a team in the Championship like Leicester City or Southampton would be sensible for him. It would allow him to get some regular minutes under his belt and put himself in the shop window ahead of next summer.
Aston Villa, Manchester United and West Ham linked with Endrick
As per the Daily Star on Sunday, Aston Villa are eyeing a surprise swoop for Real Madrid attacker Endrick. They aren’t the only name in the frame though, with United, West Ham and Juventus also mentioned as potential suitors. The 19-year-old has seen hs game time in La Liga dry up over recent times.
Endrick was snapped up by the La Liga giants as one for the future back in 2024. Prior to his switch to Spain, he rose up through the academy at Palmeiras and broke into their first-team as a youngster. He then left South America to pursue his European dream but he isn’t getting into Xabi Alonso’s team right now.
The 3AM Verdict: It would be a surprise to see Endrick move to the Premier League. He would give each of Aston Villa, Manchester United and West Ham another option to pick from at the top end of the pitch. The attacker lacks experience though and hasn’t been able to make the impact that he would have wanted to in La Liga with Real Madrid. Therefore, it would be a risk to bring him to England.
