Tucker Kraft injury gets gut-wrenching outlook after Packers-Panthers

The Green Bay Packers suffered two big blackeyes on Sunday. Aside from suffering an embarrassing 16-13 home loss at the hands of Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers, the Packers also fear that they have lost star tight end Tucker Kraft to injury.

Kraft sustained an apparent lower-body injury in the third quarter of the Panthers game. He was then ruled out for the rest of the contest, but it seems that he’ll sit out much longer.

Before he exited the game, Kraft, who turns 25 years old this Sunday, had two catches on three targets for 20 receiving yards.

Tucker Kraft likely done for rest of the 2025 NFL season

While an official diagnosis of Kraft’s injury has yet to be released, the fear is that he suffered a torn ACL. Such an injury would very likely end his 2025 season, a tough development for the third-year NFL tight end, who was having an otherwise excellent campaign.

“It doesn’t look good,” LaFleur said about Tucker’s injury after the game, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN. “It’s going to be tough. But it’s football. The other guys are going to have to step up.”

The prospect of losing Kraft is a big blow to Green Bay. The former South Dakota State Jackrabbits star was on pace to become the first tight end in the history of the Green Bay franchise to rack up at least 1,000 receiving yards in a season, but that doesn’t seem to be within his reach this season. If he gets sidelined for the remainder of the year, he’d finish his third season in the league with 489 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 32 catches.

For now, it appears that the Packers will be turning to Luke Musgrave for most of their tight end needs in the passing attack.
