**Gideon Kodua** was Luton Town’s Emirates FA Cup hero as his added-time goal secured a thrilling 4-3 first-round win over Forest Green Rovers.
Kodua was introduced by Hatters head coach and former West Ham midfielder Jack Wilshire with 19 minutes to play and Luton leading 3-2, having earlier led 3-0.
National League side Forest Green completed a dramatic comeback to level against their EFL League One hosts eight minutes later, then Robbie Savage’s team hit the crossbar as they threatened an incredible giant-killing.
However, Kodua denied the Gloucestershire side extra-time at Kenilworth Road, exchanging passes with Jerry Yates and slamming the ball past Rovers goalkeeper Fiachra Pagel in the second minute of added time.
Elsewhere in the FA Cup, **Michael Forbes** ended up on the losing side for another team managed by a former Hammer, Kevin Nolan’s Northampton Town.
The League One side were beaten 3-1 at National League Oldham Athletic, for whom Michael Mellon scored a hat-trick.

In the EFL Championship, **Kaelan Casey** made his first league start for Swansea City and provided the assist for Adam Idah’s equaliser as the Welsh side drew 1-1 at Charlton Athletic. The Swans sit 16th in the table and are one of four clubs on 17 points from 13 matches played, just five points adrift of the Play-Off places.
In the Turkish Süper Lig, **Edson Álvarez** played the full 90 minutes as Fenerbahçe came from two goals down to defeat Beşiktaş 3-2 in a thrilling Istanbul derby at Tüpraş Stadium. Victory kept Fenerbahçe unbeaten in the league this season and they sit four points behind leaders Galatasaray after eleven matches.
