Chelsae are keeping tabs on Boca Juniors holding midfielder Milton Delgado, according to reports in Argentina.
Boca Noticias claims that the Blues are “following” the 20-year-old “very closely” and there is a possibility that he could make the switch to Stamford Bridge.
Delgado has recently caught the eye playing for Argentina at the Under-20 World Cup, where he helped his country to the final.
He was awarded the Bronze Ball, which is given to the 3rd best player at the tournament.
Delgado has a release clause in his contract
Boca Noticias report that Delgado is available for $20m (£15m) due to the existence of a buyout clause but Boca are hopeful that the figure will be enough to put off Chelsea and other interested clubs from making a bid for the player.

The midfielder has limited experience of club football, having made 35 senior appearances in total, and his current team are keen to keep hold of him for a little while longer.
Chelsea have had previous dealings with Boca
It should be pointed out that the Blues paid €16.5m for centre-back Aaron Anselmino in the summer of 2024. He was allowed to stay on loan with Boca for six months before he joined up with Enzo Maresca’s first-team squad in January.
However, the defender did have to wait until the Club World Cup to make his debut, coming on as a substitute against Benfica in the round of 16.
Anselmino’s brief cameo in late June is his only appearance for Chelsea so far, and he has subsequently been loaned out to Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund for the rest of the 2025/26 campaign. Unfortunately, a muscular injury has disrupted his start to life in Germany, having played just three games so far this season.
