NFL head coaches on hot seat heading into Week 10

The Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals will finish up the Week 9 action of the 2025 NFL regular season slate on Monday Night Football.

In what has become the largest sports machine we know, the NFL world spins at an accelerated pace. So, before Week 9 ends, we have to talk about Week 10.

Our first topic for Week 10 is the coaches who will be coaching for their jobs. Here are the head coaches on the hot seat entering Week 10.

Zac Taylor

Bengals Head Coach Zac Taylor speaks at a press conference on Monday, October 20, 2025.

Nobody is in need of a change of scenery more than Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor. The Bengals are a defensive mess, and starting quarterback Joe Burrow can’t seem to stay on the field.

That Super Bowl appearance by Taylor and his squad feels like a lifetime ago. Both parties may need to go their separate ways.

Another team that has never overcome its Super Bowl hangover has been the Atlanta Falcons. The franchise has gone through two head coaches since moving on from Dan Quinn, and it appears Raheem Morris may not be the answer either.

At 3-5, Morris may be coaching for his job for the rest of the season.

Kevin Stefanski

The Cleveland Browns had Week 9 off, but don’t expect this team to make the jump to save the job of head coach Kevin Stefanski.

Just like their Ohio counterpart in Cincinnati, the franchise in Cleveland and its head coach may both need a fresh start. This will be an interesting opening if it were to happen this offseason.

Brian Daboll

The New York Giants moved to 2-7 on the year with their loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Giants head coach Brian Daboll is skating on thin ice, and it doesn’t feel like there is a future for him with the Giants past this season.

Jonathan Gannon

Things have to be bad if you haven’t even played your game yet, and you are in the hot seat. Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon has a huge opportunity on Monday night. A loss to the Cowboys may have his seat turning red hot.

Mike McDaniel

It appears the Miami Dolphins are going to ride with head coach Mike McDaniel for the rest of the season. The Dolphins had a disastrous Week 9 in their loss to the Baltimore Ravens. However, McDaniel is still in charge.

Honestly, firing a coach at this point with the issues the Dolphins have may not fix anything. This franchise is a mess, and it’s going to take a lot to fix it.
