Whites fall to rain soaked defeat at home to Dorking Wanderers

The Whites remained unchanged since the last league fixture against Ebbsfleet.

Positive start from the Whites as Tustin's early cross deflects for a corner and leads to an early headed chance at the back-post.

There's an early yellow card for Harry Tustin for preventing a Dorking attack. Fantastic early save from Buse as a well-worked Dorking pass-and-move leads to a corner.

24 minutes in and another threatening corner for Dorking as the rain began to pour.

Then came a big chance for the White's as Matty Taylor's shot is saved after an Ollie Morgan nutmeg is followed by a delicious cross.

After two additional minutes, it ended goalless at the break.

With the second half well underway and a rainbow appearing, Salisbury attack. Two efforts at goal from range by Lee and Tustin are blocked at the edge of the eighteen.

Then, after 58 minutes, the opening goal was scored. Dorking's Marquez puts the ball into the empty net after a cut-back. 0-1

Just 10 minutes later, Dorking doubled their lead. James Muitt gets on the end of a cut-back from the right that hits the roof of the net. 0-2

Chances for the away side just kept coming, but the Whites did well to keep them out.

The ref signalled for nine minutes of added time, and a great diagonal ball from Morgan lands at the feet of Coppin, who crosses and wins a corner, which finds a man but is subsequently hit over the bar.

Then came the final whistle, and it was another defeat for Salisbur,y who find themselves second from bottom.
