Travis Kelce wasn’t the only one who felt the pain late in first half of Bills-Chiefs showdown

Late in the first half of the Buffalo Bills’ 28-21 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, Cole Bishop laid out Travis Kelce in the end zone.

On third and goal from the one-yard line, Patrick Mahomes looked to hit Kelce in the back of the end zone. Mahomes’ pass was behind Kelce and the hit that the tight end ended up taking was from Bills safety Cole Bishop. Bishop came in with a hard, yet clean, shot to Kelce’s ribs that had the future Hall of Fame tight end down for a few seconds after the play. Kelce would ultimately get up and go into the tunnel early for halftime.

The tight end returned, but the NFL shared a video that showed Kelce may not have taken the biggest shot on the play. It turns out that Mahomes’ errant throw on third and goal actually hit a cameraman.

Mahomes’ high-speed pass to Kelce would bounce off the turf and hit the cameraman square in the midsection. The cameraman reacted as though he had been hit with a missile. His hat went flying off, and he tumbled backward to the ground.

While he was shaken up in the moment, it was later confirmed that the cameraman was okay. Here’s a look at the moment captured by the NFL’s social media account.

The cameraman was not the only one who played through the pain as Kelce was back on the field for the Chiefs in the second half of Sunday’s game.

Kelce would go on to catch four passes for 66 yards in the loss.
