Jerry Jones’s franchise doesn’t have much time left to add new players. After Jerry Jones invested over $1 billion in Comstock Resources, fans weren’t sure if the team would make a move.
But now, reports say the Cowboys are one of three teams interested in trading for the Bengals linebacker, which means they might be ready to act soon.

The Dallas Cowboys, along with the Buffalo Bills and Indianapolis Colts, are interested in trading for Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Sources say Brian Schottenheimer’s team is aggressive in their pursuit to land the Wyoming native because they are thin at linebacker and see Wilson as the veteran who could stabilize their front seven.
Wilson formally requested a trade from Cincinnati less than two weeks ago after being benched in favor of fourth-round rookie Barrett Carter. Even though he’s a team captain, Wilson was moved to special teams and played only 20% of the defensive snaps. That’s not ideal for a player making $8.7 million this season.

The Bills need depth. The same goes for Indy. If Wilson gets traded to Indianapolis, he’d be reunited with Lou Anarumo, the defensive coach who worked with him his whole career until this year.
The 29-year-old brings veteran leadership. He surpassed 100 tackles in four consecutive seasons through 2024. This year, he has appeared in eight games, starting seven before being benched in Week 8 against the Jets.
The chatter around Wilson’s availability has only grown louder thanks to off-field headlines involving the Cowboys owner’s billion-dollar investment in a natural gas venture. Since then, Dallas Nation has been loudly asking for a big trade, and Wilson could be the answer.
Wilson Headlines as Inactive Player for Week 9 Clash vs. Chicago
Wilson’s absence in Sunday’s shootout loss to the Bears raised significant eyebrows. Officially, he was listed as inactive due to a calf injury. However, insiders note that his recent benching for Carter and his trade request may have contributed to the decision.
Whether it’s injury, coaching decisions, or trade tension, the third-round pick heads into the bye week uncertain about his future. The trade deadline is Tuesday. Dallas needs linebackers. Buffalo wants more depth. Indy could reunite him with coach Lou Anarumo.
The Cowboys should probably go for it because fans want Jones to fit the trade decision in between his gas business meetings.
