Manchester City to make another attempt to sign Spanish talent

Manchester City have renewed their interest in Valencia youngster Jaume Durà.

That’s at least what Cadena Cope, relayed by El Desmarque, are reporting, and cover the latest on Manchester City.

The 17-year-old is product of the La Liga side’s academy and is currently part of Valencia U19s. He’s yet to represent their first team but has already managed to catch Manchester City’s attention.

Last year, the attacking midfielder renewed his contract until 2027. The report states Pep Guardiola’s side had tried to secure his services before he signed an extension.

The teenager then picked up an injury, forcing him to spend a spell on the sidelines. He started to rediscover his best form this year. Durà is working on regaining his rhythm and intensity, which is needed for him to play the full 90 minutes regularly.

It’s claimed Manchester City ‘don’t miss a single detail of his progress’ as they’re showing serious interest in the Spain U17 international.

The past disappointment hasn’t put them off as the report states the Citizens are making another attempt, without specifying whether in January or next summer. Valencia have to be cautious of Manchester City’s interest in the Spainsh talent.

Durà will turn 18 years of age in May 2026. If Manchester City were to agree terms with Valencia, he’ll have to wait until next summer to arrive in the UK.
