The Philadelphia Eagles continue to bolster their defense, with just over a day left before this year’s NFL trade deadline.
As per Ian Rapoport, the reigning Super Bowl champions have made a trade which sees Miami Dolphins edge rusher Jaelan Phillips head to Philadelphia in exchange for a third round pick in 2026.

In nine games so far this season, Phillips has recorded 3 sacks for Miami, who also came to a shared agreement last week to relieve general manager Chris Grier of his duties after a 2-7 start to the year.

This move by the NFC East leading Eagles comes after they recently landed former Pro Bowl defensive back Jaire Alexander in a trade with the Baltimore Ravens, as per Adam Schefter.
With the NFL schedule heading into the second half of the season, Philadelphia will hope their recent defensive additions, which now includes the acquisition of a bona fide pass rusher in Phillips, will help solidify their roster as they look to defend last year’s Super Bowl title.
