The New York Giants and New York Jets have shared the same NFL field for decades, but since the two franchises moved into MetLife Stadium in 2010 the venue has become a massive concern across the league, especially given with how many severe injuries have taken place on the turf.

The Giants, in particular, have seen some of their top stars injured this season, including Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo, and the reputation that MetLife Stadium has built isn’t good when it comes to other top stars recognizing the sheer number of mishaps.

Following the San Francisco 49ers’ win over the Giants this weekend, star tight end George Kittle commented on the MetLife turf situation and just how badly the field is perceived across the NFL when other teams anticipate coming to play there.
“When someone’s field is the butt of a joke around all of social media constantly, on every NFL meme page, and everybody jokes about how bad it is, I feel like at that point, someone should just take a look at it. No NFL field should be the butt of a joke, ever,” Kittle said on Sunday.

Since the venue’s home to two NFL teams, the spotlight has only grown over the years after notable stars like Aaron Rodgers, Nabers and Nick Bosa all suffered serious knee injuries in New Jersey.
