Oxlade-Chamberlain returns to Arsenal after contract termination

Former Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back training with the Gunners as he searches for a new club.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has been on the hunt for a new club since August after his contract at Besiktas was mutually terminated.

The 32-year-old is training with Arsenal to keep fit as he assesses his options and decides on his next move.

Oxlade-Chamberlain trained with Arsenal’s Under-19 squad on Monday afternoon before their UEFA Youth League with Slavia Prague on Tuesday.

The ex-England international spent six years at Arsenal before leaving them to join Liverpool in 2017 for £35million.

The midfielder made 198 appearances for Arsenal and played alongside current manager, Mikel Arteta, during his time at the club.

Oxlade-Chamberlain left Liverpool in the summer of 2023 as a free agent and signed for Turkish club Besiktas.

He made 50 appearances for the club during his two years there and scored five goals.
