Over 20,000 professional men’s footballers from 68 countries voted for their team of the year
The FIFPRO World 11 is the only global football award decided entirely by professional players
Chelsea’s Cole Palmer makes the World 11 for the first time
Chelsea’s Cole Palmer says it’s a "great honour" and "the best feeling" to be selected for the FIFPRO Men’s World 11 by fellow professional footballers.
Over 20,000 men’s footballers from 68 countries voted for their team of the year. What sets the World 11 apart from the many awards within football is that the winners are determined not by journalists, coaches or fans, but by football’s protagonists: the players.
"Being part of the FIFPRO World 11 is obviously a great honour and to be voted by the other players is a nice feeling," said Palmer. "They know what it takes, obviously, to play the game at a high level, so to be voted by them is the best feeling."
Professional footballers selected their team of the year based on performances from 15 July 2024 to 3 August 2025 inclusive.
During that time, Palmer produced moments of brilliance, helping Chelsea to the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup, in which he was crowned the tournament’s best player.
