Despite his position change under United manager Ruben Amorim this season, Bruno Fernandes has attempted to adapt to the demands of the two-man pivot.
Casemiro has been Amorim’s preferred midfield partner for Fernandes and the two United midfielders had an impact for the Red Devils at City Ground on the weekend.
Fernandes whipped in a superb ball from a United corner in the first half and Casemiro rose to meet the cross and turned a header effort past Nottingham Forest’s Matz Sels.

The Red Devils were left chasing the Premier League tie after going 2-1 down in the first five minutes after the break, but Amad Diallo scored a late equaliser for his side.
Manchester United’s official website revealed the results of their Man-of-the-Match poll, with Bruno Fernandes only managing to secure six per cent of the vote.
Joining the Portugal international in third place was none other than Luke Shaw, while Bryan Mbeumo only secured five per cent of the vote from United fans.

Casemiro falls well short of being crowned Man Utd fans’ Man of the Match against Nottingham Forest at City Ground
Casemiro’s impact for United against Forest saw the ex-Real Madrid star finish ahead of Luke Shaw and Fernandes, with the Brazilian securing 20 per cent of the vote.
However, Amad Diallo’s sensational second-time equaliser saw the 23-year-old Ivorian winger scoop the Man-of-the-Match crown by a landslide of votes.
The Ivory Coast international secured a mammoth 52 per cent of the vote from Red Devils fans, with Amad’s impact ensuring United walked away with a point.
United had won their last three Premier League matches against Sunderland, Liverpool and Brighton ahead of their 2-2 draw against Forest on Saturday.
