Premier League trio included in FIFPRO World XI

Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk, and Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer have been named in the FIFPRO World XI for 2025.

The team, voted for by professional footballers across the globe, celebrates an XI regarded as the best in the world.

Gianluigi Donnarumma has been voted as the best goalkeeper in the world, with the Italian following his 2025 Yashin Trophy win with inclusion in the FIFPRO World XI.

Donnarumma was a key part of Paris Saint-Germain’s treble success last season before a summer switch to Manchester City.

Van Dijk is named as one of three defenders, alongside PSG duo Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes. The Dutchman captained Liverpool to Premier League title success last season.

Further forward, Cole Palmer joins England teammate Jude Bellingham in midfield. Palmer won the Golden Ball at this summer’s FIFA Club World Cup as Chelsea claimed the trophy. He also helped Chelsea to Champions League qualification and Europa Conference League success in 2024/25.

An all-star forward line is spearheaded by Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe, who won a maiden Golden Shoe last season. Alongside Mbappe is Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembele and Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal.
