One of the biggest players that has been mentioned in trade speculations has been Las Vegas Raiders superstar Maxx Crosby. Crosby may want to remain with his current team, but the NFL can be cruel when it comes to business practices. Now, the star defender has ignited trade speculation with a message to fans.
The Raiders are currently 2-6 on the year, and they lost a heartbreaker in overtime to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. Though many believed the team could rebound, they might be headed for a bit of a reset ahead of the trade deadline.
One way the team would certainly reset is by trading Crosby, and though he has been adamant in wanting to stay with the team, a recent post on X has led to fans exploding with theories on the Raiders star potentially being moved.
Crosby took to X to state his appreciation for Raiders fans, but also to reveal his own frustrations with the way 2025 has gone.The issue is that fans are now going wild for the simple fact that he included an eagle emoji.
Raider Nation I Love Yall With Everything In My Heart & Soul. Yall Deserve Better. Stay As One, It Will Change,” Crosby stated.
Fans naturally began to call out the emoji.
“That Eagle at the end got us all like…,” one fan said with a shocked gif.
“That's an Eagle,” another said with a gif of Leonardo Dicaprio pointing.
“Why's there an eagle in the tweet?! Why's there an EAGLE IN THE TWEET?!” another wrote.
“I see an eagle Maxx, Clarify Wtf your trying to say !!!” another stated.
Crosby may have just used the eagle emoji as a symbol of his ascent or some such thing, but one of the teams that has been in desperate need of pass rush is the Philadelphia Eagles. Oddly enough, the team traded for Miami Dolphins star Jaelan Phillips, but more could be coming.
The Eagles are attempting to repeat and a huge way they could do that is by bringing in a game-wrecking player like Crosby. Especially after adding Phillips, bringing in the Raiders’ All-Pro would transform Vic Fangio’s defense into something truly frightening.
The NFL trade deadline ends at 4 PM EST, and there are sure to be more players on the move before that. Crosby may be one of those players who could be traded, which would set the football-loving world on fire.
