Micah Parsons Gets Honest About Loss To Panthers

The Green Bay Packers entered their Week 9 game against the Carolina Panthers with confidence and poise, believing that they were going to beat up on an inferior team.

What should have been an easy win turned out to be a frustrating loss, as the offense couldn’t get anything going, and the defense had no answer for a Carolina rushing attack led by Rico Dowdle.

All-Pro defender Micah Parsons reflected on the defeat in his postgame remarks.

“If we lose a game like that in the NFL, we just didn’t play good. Not too many quarterbacks are throwing for 100 yards and winning the game,” Parsons said.

#Packers D front didn’t sack Bryce Young, but Micah Parsons made fair point on pass rush.

Young hit 11-20 for 102 yards, and GB still lost.

Parsons mentioned Bryce Young’s performance through the air, as he threw for 102 yards, no touchdowns and one interception.

If you were to tell the Packers that they limited the opposing quarterback to that level, most of them would smile, indicating that they were proud of their performance.

But Young wasn’t the issue, as one of the league’s best rushing defenses couldn’t slow down Dowdle, who had another big game.

This will be a lesson for the Packers’ defense moving forward, as these are mistakes it cannot make against the better teams in the league.

In Week 10, they face the Philadelphia Eagles on “Monday Night Football,” when they take on the rushing attack of Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley.

If they’re not careful, the Packers could get tormented by another elite running back, so they’ll have to put their best foot forward to have any chance of winning.
