Everton chief Aaron Duckmanton has been speaking about the club’s exciting plans for the Hill Dickinson Stadium this Christmas.
Everton’s new stadium has been transformative for the club’s finances, as they’re now set to be free from PSR concerns going forward.
The Hill Dickinson Stadium will also significantly boost the club’s profile, with plans in place for it to be a venue for Euro 2028.
The Hill Dickinson hosted a rugby fixture on the weekend, and concerts are also planned to be held there in the future.
Now, plans for Christmas markets on the fan plaza have been teased.

Everton plan to host major events on the Hill Dickinson Stadium plaza
Speaking on Koora Break’s YouTube channel, Everton club marketing and digital officer Aaron Duckmanton teased some exciting events, including Christmas markets, which will take place on the plaza outside the new ground.
Duckmanton revealed that the open space can accommodate around 18,000 people.
“This is such an amazing place for fans to come and congregate pre-match and post-match and hopefully 365 days of the year when we get up and running with our larger entertainment programme,” the Toffees chief explained.

“In terms of that larger entertainment programme, we’re able to host concerts, events, shows, festivals Christmas festivals, Christmas markets on this plaza, on this site.”
He continued: “On this plaza we’re limitless. So when we look at music festivals and events for under 20,000 people, dance festivals, Christmas markets… they can all be hosted on here.
“So it’s a really exciting, unique proposition for the club.”
Whether the entertainment programme will be rolled out in time for the festive period this year, remains to be seen, but either way, Everton fans can get excited about the Christmas markets coming to Merseyside.
How much do Everton earn in additional revenue from the Hill Dickinson Stadium?
Goodison Park was really restricting the amount of revenue Everton could generate, and that ended up spilling onto the pitch, as PSR issues took hold.
But, it’s now estimated that the Toffees will earn an extra £40m-a-year in revenue from the new stadium, which is pretty remarkable.
Already, we’ve seen how that will positively influence the club’s player trading, as Moyes was able to spend in excess of £100m on nine new players.
The sizable wages paid to Jack Grealish and the £40m fee spent on Tyler Dibling only amplify these points.
So, there should be plenty of exciting times ahead for Everton fans and lots of fun events to look forward to at the Hill Dickinson.
