Aaron Rodgers suffered horribly brutal injury

The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking to get back to the top of the AFC North after what has felt like endless mediocrity following the emergence of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

The Steelers entered Sunday’s matchup with the Indianapolis Colts, who were in sole possession of the NFL’s best record, in first place in the division, but with an ascending Ravens squad hard on their heels.

It would’ve been an easy spot for the Steelers to fold, but instead, Pittsburgh went on to win 27-20 in a game that wasn’t as close as the score indicated. The win was made even more impressive by Aaron Rodgers performing at a high level after suffering a finger injury in warmups.

“Aaron Rodgers looks to have hurt his finger/hand taking a snap from Zach Frazier pregame. If I had a quarter for every time a Steelers QB injured a pinky on a snap this year, I’d have 50 cents. It’s not a lot, but weird it’s happened twice!” ESPN’s Brooke Pryor reported just before the game started.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Dude what the heck I don’t think I’ve seen this before wow,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Perfect with Big Ben in the house. Get a little banged up. Throw for 3 TDs and ball out like it never happened,” someone else added.

“Bones get brittle when you’re that old,” another fan added.

It’s impressive to see Rodgers still playing winning football at this stage of his career, especially after how poorly things went in his two years with the New York Jets.
