Things have not gone according to plan for the Cleveland Browns this season. A season after only winning three games, the Browns have one win at the halfway point of the season. The offense has looked abysmal the entire season, and their opening week starting quarterback, Joe Flacco, is lighting it up for the Cincinnati Bengals after losing the job to rookie Dillon Gabriel and being traded.
Now, head coach Kevin Stefanski, who was originally calling the plays for the struggling offense, is relinquishing his duties in the role, and offensive coordinator Tommy Rees will be assuming the responsibility.
“For the second consecutive year, #Browns coach Kevin Stefanski hands off play-calling duties, this time to OC Tommy Rees,” [reported NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.](https://x.com/RapSheet/status/1985403151990607903)
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Stefanski has long been known for his meticulous offensive scripting,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Big move handing play-calling to Rees again! Browns need a spark after that 2-7 slump. Fans are buzzing—some want Shedeur Sanders. Hope this shakes up the offense,” added someone else.
“He needs to hand it over to somebody smart. He is completely incapable,” another fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if this helps the Browns turn their season around.
