Patrick Bamford has been training with Coventry City to keep fit after leaving Leeds United on a free transfer, and it appears Leeds-linked Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has taken a leaf out of his book.
After reports emerged that one-time England striker Bamford was training with Coventry, Frank Lampard was quick to deny that Bamford could sign on for Coventry. He is only training with Lampard’s men.
Bamford has been linked with a move to The MLS, Scottish champions Celtic and even La Liga side Getafe since Daniel Farke decided he had no future at Elland Road. The two parties agreed to end his contract.
The same goes for another former England star in Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has returned to England after a spell in Turkey with Super Lig giants Besiktas. The midfielder also had a year left on his contract.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain training with Arsenal at the moment
After an injury-hit few years at Liverpool, Oxlade-Chamberlain made the surprise move to Besiktas where he initially struggled, but rediscovered some form in a deeper midfield role under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The former Manchester United man has since left his job and Oxlade-Chamberlain left. Now, the Evening Standard say Oxlade-Chamberlain is training with Arsenal in a bid to stay fit ahead of joining a new side.’
It comes after Oxlade-Chamberlain was linked with a move to Leeds. The reports emerged after the end of the summer window, with Leeds unable to bring in Harry Wilson or Facundo Buonanotte in August.

But, anything is possible and Oxlade-Chamberlain is claimed to be on Leeds’ radar. His Premier League experience and versatility may suit Leeds as a squad player, but there is one major obstacle in the way.
Leeds named a 25-man squad after the window, which included Illan Meslier. Clubs are not permitted to change that 25-man list outside of the window, meaning a current Leeds player would have to leave.
