Ravens get superb grade for Dolphins win as AFC North chances skyrocket

The Baltimore Ravens moved to 3-5 after their win over the Miami Dolphins, as Lamar Jackson's first game back from injury went along perfectly.

The Ravens got the win they desperately needed, and in truth, the Dolphins didn't offer much resistance after the first quarter. The defense pitched a second-half shutout, while Jackson and the offense scored 14 points en route to what was a relatively easy night for the AFC North franchise.

Such was the ease with which Baltimore beat down Miami, CBS Sports' John Breech gave John Harbaugh's team an "A" grade, while also making quite the statement on the division.

"This game marked the first time in more than a month that Lamar Jackson was on the field and he definitely didn't show any rust,” Breech wrote. “Yes, the Ravens are 3-5, but with Jackson back and the defense playing better each week, this team definitely feels like the favorite to win the AFC North.”

Can Ravens still win the division?

At 3-5 and as odd as it sounds, yes, they can, and a big reason for that is the Ravens still have five division games left on their schedule.

Two games behind the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-3), Baltimore still has to play Mike Tomlin's team twice, so there is a real chance to reel in their rivals, while the Cincinnati Bengals' defense can't stop anyone, and the Cleveland Browns are, well, the Browns.

Granted, aside from those five division games, the Ravens also face the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers, so there are plenty of chances for Harbaugh's team to climb the rankings.

It will take a Herculean effort and a long winning streak, but don't discount the Ravens when it comes to the division.
