On Sunday, the Lakers took down the Miami Heat in what can only be described as an offensive showcase. The final score was 130-120 in favor of Los Angeles.

On Monday night, the Lakers are set to meet the Portland Trail Blazers. However, the gold and purple will be without two of their biggest stars.

Yahoo Sports has reported that both Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves will be out for the game against the Trail Blazers on Monday night.

According to the report, Doncic will be out as he continues to nurse a lower left leg contusion. For Reaves, the fifth-year veteran is dealing with right groin soreness.
Both players played in the big win on Sunday. Doncic finished the game with a triple-double, while Reaves finished with a double-double.

In an era of “load management,” it’s no surprise that the two players playing their best for the Lakers are not in action for the second leg of the back-to-back.
That’s just the game we love now. You can hate it, but with so many injuries in the NBA Playoffs last year, rest is going to continue to happen during games in the regular season.
