Everton ace Iliman Ndiaye scored a stunning goal against Sunderland before being taken off with an injury.
Monday’s trip to Sunderland proved to be a frustrating one for Everton.
It all started so well at the Stadium of Light for the Toffees, as Iliman Ndiaye scored a sensational opener.
Ndiaye picked up the ball, dribbled away from Sunderland defenders and fired home on his left foot.
Everton couldn’t kick on, though, and Granit Xhaka’s deflected leveller handed Sunderland a share of the spoils.

David Moyes shares instant update on Iliman Ndiaye injury
Ndiaye was a constant thorn in Sunderland’s side, but he was substituted in the second half with an injury.
Rather than go straight down the tunnel, Ndiaye sat on the bench, which left fans hopeful of no major damage.
Moyes has now shared a positive update, telling Everton’s official media channels that Ndiaye’s injury doesn’t look serious.

Moyes on Ndiaye:
"I don't think it's anything serious. I think he picked up a bit of cramp and was worried about it. It was a wonderful goal he scored – and typical Ili. He's got dancing feet and it was a really good goal." pic.twitter.com/JcOX6lYFY0

Moyes suggested that Ndiaye simply picked up cramp, and he was worried about exacerbating the problem.
That would suggest that Ndiaye will be ready to feature against Fulham this weekend, though Everton will continue to monitor him.
Moyes praised Ndiaye’s ‘dancing feet’ as he scored a ‘wonderful’ goal, though it wasn’t enough for the victory.
“I don’t think it’s anything serious. I think he picked up a bit of cramp and was worried about it. It was a wonderful goal he scored – and typical Ili. He’s got dancing feet and it was a really good goal,” said Moyes.
Ndiaye was replaced by Dwight McNeil, as summer signing Tyler Dibling remained on the bench.
2024 signing Ndiaye has been the major success story of this season, but questions linger over Everton’s summer additions as they struggle for starts.
