The Dallas Cowboys will meet the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night in the final game of the Week 9 slate in the NFL regular season.
It’s a pivotal game for both teams. For the Cardinals, head coach Jonathan Gannon may be coaching for his job. On the other side, a win for the Cowboys may have owner Jerry Jones ready to make some moves before the league’s trade deadline.

Actually, the team may have already made a move. According to Jones, when he joined SiriusXM on Monday, the Cowboys already have a trade in place.

Jones shared that the team has made a trade and there’s a possibility that they could make more moves before the 4 pm ET deadline on Tuesday.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones @SIRIUSXM just said Dallas has made a trade and could possibly make a couple of more before tomorrow’s deadline. He declined to share who is involved in the trade.

This is such a Jones way to reveal a trade. The Cowboys’ owner wants to keep his team in the headlines. What better way to do that than by teasing a trade before they take the field on Monday Night Football?
Like any season for fans of Dallas, it feels like they have already been through an entire year. The season started off with the franchise trading away their generational talent, Micah Parsons. Now, halfway through the season, their billionaire owner is dropping teases like he is a part of a daytime soap opera.

Let Jerry Cook

When the results on the field are not favorable in Dallas, Jones’ comments make a dreadful season even worse. Monday night has become a must-win for the Cowboys.
I guess all we can do now is throw out hypotheticals of who the team will be bringing in with this trade. Maybe this is a “Semi-Pro” situation, and Jerry is bringing in a veteran player because another team needs a new washing machine.
Last year, the team made a move to bring in wide receiver Jonathan Mingo. I think many in the fanbase are still waiting for the results on that move. However, it appears Jerry is cooking.
