The Green Bay Packers lost a lot more than a game when they fell to the underdog Carolina Panthers 16-13 on Sunday. Going into the game as 13.5-point favorites, many expected the Packers to blow out the Panthers quite handily. Unfortunately, as has been the case all too often under Matt LaFleur, Green Bay played down to their opponent and ended up losing the game. The same thing happened in Week Three when the Packers fell to the Cleveland Browns.
Worse than the loss, though, Green Bay will be without star tight end Tucker Kraft for the remainder of the season. Kraft tore his ACL after getting his legs taken out my offensive lineman Sean Rhyan, who was trying to avoid his own knees being taken out by a low chip shot.
On Monday, it was revealed that Kraft is not the only player the Packers will be without for the foreseeable future.
Green Bay Packers cornerback Nate Hobbs to miss at least 2 games
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan is unable to catch a would-be touchdown while being covered by Green Bay Packers cornerback Nate Hobbs (21) during the second quarter of their game Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
In addition to Kraft missing the rest of the season with his torn ACL, cornerback Nate Hobbs, who signed a four-year $48 million contract with Green Bay during the offseason, will miss at least the next two games with a grade-one MCL sprain:

Hobbs missed part of the offseason program after having a procedure done on his knee, and was benched against the Pittsburgh Steelers for poor play. He went from playing 76 snaps against the Arizona Cardinals to just four against Pittsburgh.
Hobbs played 19 snaps in the loss to Carolina.
So far this year, the fifth-year defensive back has 19 total tackles and one pass defended. Opposing quarterbacks are completing 68.2% of their passes and have a 121.4 passer rating when targeting Hobbs.
