The Arizona Cardinals won't have quarterback Kyler Murray on the field for a third straight game when they take on the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night.
Murray has been dealing with a foot injury he suffered in Week 5 and has only been able to log limited practices since then.
As Murray works his way back from injury, there has been rampant speculation that the Cardinals are benching their starting quarterback in favor of Jacoby Brissett.
That's because Murray has struggled this season and Arizona's offense has operated fairly well with Brissett under center.
However, according to a report, that is not what's going on here.
Did Cardinals bench Kyler Murray?
According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, no, Murray is not being benched and instead is legitimately injured.
"To be very clear, the people I've spoken to, this is not some kind of benching. It is, as one person put it to me last night, 1,000% about health," Pelissero reported. "Kyler, when he's in the pocket in practice, looks like himself."
"But when he's running, when he's making other movements, that's where it's not entirely normal just yet," Pelissero added. "We'll see if he can make it back next week on a short week there at Seattle next Sunday."
During the week, head coach Jonathan Gannon made it clear that Murray simply isn't "ready to go yet."
"He is getting better," he said. "He's had some more work this last week, but like I said, he's just not ready to go yet.... but I know he wants to be out there and he is doing everything he can. It's just he's not quite there yet."
So, there you have it. Murray is not in the dog house and will return to his starting job when fully healthy.
When that happens remains to be seen, though.
