For the second straight season, the Charlotte Hornets are joining forces with FanDuel Sports Network, Cox Media Group’s WSOC-TV Channel 9, its sister station TV 64 and Gray Media to simulcast 11 more games over the air during the 2025-26 campaign.
The next telecast will be Tuesday night’s matchup in New Orleans with the Pelicans, which tips off a two-game road trip.
“We’re excited to make select Hornets games available on local over-the-air television for the second consecutive season to our fans in Charlotte and markets across the Carolinas through our partnership with FanDuel Sports Network, WSOC, TV 64 and Gray Media,” Hornets president of business operations Shelly Cayette-Weston said in a statement. “Expanding the reach of our broadcasts is part of our organizational commitment of enhancing the fan experience and connecting with Hornets fans throughout the Carolinas.”
In Charlotte, WSOC-TV and TV 64 will simulcast the games while Gray Media distributes them to various markets throughout North Carolina and South Carolina courtesy of the Palmetto Sports & Entertainment Network and other Gray Media affiliates.
Additional markets in the Carolinas includes Columbia (WIS 10.4 & WPAM 18.1), Charleston (WCSC 5.3), Greenville-New Bern (WITN 7.2), Greenville-Spartanburg-Asheville-Anderson (WHNS 21.2), Myrtle Beach (WMBF 32.3), Raleigh (WRAL 5.2), Wilmington (WECT 6.3).`
Distribution in Raleigh will come via Capitol Broadcasting.
Each game will still be produced by FanDuel Sports Network, and coverage begins with the Hornets’ pregame show 30 minutes before tipoff.
“Partnering with the Hornets, Cox Media Group and Gray Media is a great opportunity for us to put our telecasts in front of more viewers and expose them to the high quality of our productions and our broadcasters,” FanDuel Sports Network executive vice president of team partnerships Damon Phillips said. “We are available on multiple platforms and having fans sample our telecasts will show them what they can see on FanDuel Sports Network for our remaining 73 games this season.”
Added Cox Media Group Charlotte VP/GM Cedric Thomas: “This partnership between WSOC and the Charlotte Hornets continues to entertain and serve our communities around the Carolinas. This is part of our commitment to provide the best news, entertainment and sports programming.”
