Jerry Jones just dropped the dumbest Cowboys trade tease you will ever see

Dallas Cowboys fans, like the rest of the NFL, are waiting for their team to make a move ahead of the trade deadline. With trades for the 2025 season no longer being permitted after Tuesday, November 4, at 4 pm ET, things could get really chaotic for the league up until that point. Currently, though, the only chaos in Dallas is because of Jerry Jones' words.

The Cowboys haven’t made an official move yet, but the team owner was on the radio Monday afternoon, teasing a move that he believes the team has completed. Jones wouldn’t share any details of this mystery trade other than that it will have the player on the field immediately, and the move would address some of Dallas' shortcomings this season. Jerry Jones teases mystery Cowboys trade ahead of trade deadline

In addition to this anonymous trade, that is already done according to Jones, the owner says Dallas could have a few more moves up its sleeve before the deadline. For Cowboys fans, who have been through this same song and dance with Jerry Jones and the team every year, expectations aren’t high. Fans were quick to point out that whatever move Jones is alluding to will surely be an underwhelming one as far as news goes.

That’s just what Cowboys fans have grown to expect when dealing with an owner and general manager as unpredictable as Jerry Jones. The noise is usually louder than the results. Hopefully, Dallas will actually make some official moves that bring some impactful players to the team. Ahead of the Cowboys' Monday night matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, the team is 3-4-1, navigating having the best offense and the worst defense in the league.

If Dallas could land some difference makers on the defensive side of the ball, it has a chance to compete this season. For years, Dallas has struggled to stop the run, but now the Cowboys are a defensive unit without Micah Parsons, and are struggling in just about every area. Any moves made should address the abysmal defense, and Dallas knows that. By Jerry Jones' tone, the Cowboys could soon welcome a big acquisition to the team, but time will tell if that’s actually the case.
