For the third consecutive game, Jacoby Brissett started while Kyler Murray continues to recover from a foot sprain. The backup quarterback had a solid outing, completing 21 of 31 pass attempts for 261 yards and two touchdowns. So far, Brissett has completed 65% of his passes for 860 yards, six touchdowns, and one interception, resulting in a 1-2 record.

Since Kyler Murray is the twelfth-highest-paid quarterback in the league in terms of average annual salary, he will likely regain the starting quarterback job once he fully recovers from his foot injury. So far, he has completed 68.3% of his passes for 962 yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions, with a 2-3 record. Many fans want Jacoby Brissett to remain the starter because they believe the offense plays better with him and argue that Murray’s high salary alone shouldn’t justify his starting job.
